The new NCTM standards say that students should be able to write about
their math thinking. This book helps meet this goal. Students think
about and write answers to math-related questions, such as "Would you
consider a map a measuring device?" or "How could you estimate how much
garbage you throw away every day?" Other fun and quirky writing prompts
encourage kids to write in a variety of formats, including letters,
journals, stories, and more. Great practice for standardized tests!
